Spokane, WA is a diverse community, befitting of anyone looking to have the the perfect combination of city life, country and everywhere in between.

With-In a 10 mile radius, Spokane is home to 6 distinct neighborhoods, all with their own character and charm. As you travel further out, Spokane opens up to smaller subdivisions with larger and larger lots, until you start getting in to the country where it is characteristic to see horses and cattle grazing on acres of land.

Immediately outside of Downtown Spokane is Kendal Yards, Brownes Addition and the South Hill. Browns Addition is an old residential neighborhood that has been revitalized to bring back its old charm. If you live in Brownes addition you are a short walk to the MAC museum and Coeur d”Alene Park, as well as several unique restaurants and taverns. Many residents enjoy walking the tree lined streets and observing the historic mansion that have been restored to their original beauty.  Since, Brownes addition is only a mile or so outside of Downtown Spokane, it is a great community for people who wish to commute the old fashion way, by walking or cycling.

On the opposite side of the Spokane River, is Kendal Yards. This is one of Spokane’s newest and most welcomed neighborhoods. Kendal Yards is a Planned Urban Development or PUD that features perfectly located condos and maintenance free ranchers. Among its biggest attraction is the local farmers market that happens every Wednesday, as well as monthly family/community events planned by the developer, GreenStone. If you love the idea of living downtown, but do not want to be in a high rise condo, then consider Kendal Yards for your next home.

South of Spokane and up the hill is the South Hill, both Lower and Upper. The South Hill is a fantastic mix of old and new. Lower South Hill is comprised of homes that date back to 1900 and as you travel further up the hill the homes become newer and newer, 1950’s, 1980’s and New Construction. There are homes to fit anyone's budget and taste, not to mention it is the perfect community for raising children as there are numerous parks scattered throughout. Tucked in the center of the South Hill is the Perry District, which is an eclectic spot all its own. Known for its small shops, yoga studio and restaurants that are to die for, the Perry District is the upcoming place to be. Many of the homes are older, dating back to the 1920’s and feature that old craftsman charm. As this community continues to grow, so will the costs of homes, but for now it is still very affordable.

And Finally, but certainly not last is the community of Eagle Ridge, located just a short 5 minute drive outside of Spokane. This planned urban development is a massive project that started back in the late 1990’s, early 2000’s and had been growing ever since. The community has walking/biking trails woven through the neighborhoods, and community events take place all the time including Easter Egg hunts, movie nights, and even date night for parents. If you want the convince of downtown, but the community of a small town, then Eagle Ridge is the place to be.
